Samsung has partnered with Seatrees and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography to support coral reef restoration across multiple regions, including Costa Rica, Fiji, Indonesia, and the United States.

Using Galaxy devices equipped with Ocean Mode, participants capture underwater images that are used to create 3D models of coral reefs. These models help scientists track changes and plan restoration efforts.

Coral reefs cover less than 1% of the ocean floor but support about 25% of marine life and millions of livelihoods worldwide.

However, they are under severe threat from climate change, pollution, and overfishing. Without intervention, many reefs could disappear within decades.
